Sea Level I (North Curl Curl Rockpool).

How the photo was taken:

I had a sunrise portrait shoot booked for North Curl Curl Rockpool. If you know North Curl Curl well, you'll know the walk up and over the headland to the stairs to the pool. As I was walking across, a stunning display of colours came across the sky as the sun rose. I quickly put my wetsuit on and jumped in the water to capture the moment.

The phot is of the surface of the water, using a very shallow depth of field. The colours in this photo are a reflection of the colours dancing across the sky. A stunning moment to capture.
